Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bdu trouser I bought these to replace a pair I bought 25 years ago that finally ripped. No joke. You can't kill these pants. Rain, snow, dirtbiking, camping. Dozens and dozens of wash cycles. Hoping the new ones are of the same grade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cotton BDU pants I have several pairs of these in Woodland Camo. Even though I also have more expensive hunting pants, these are my favorite. Perfect for whitetail and turkey hunting as long as you are not going to get wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants for work and hunting. I wear the pants every day for work. They are very well made and robust in all the right places. The pockets are deep enough that my keys and other things don’t fall out while I’m seated, like some other work pants. I also have the camo pants that I wear while hunting.

WHAT ARE WAIST SIZES FOR THE M AND L? ALSO, INSEAM FOR THE R NAD L?

Asked by: JMH22
Click on the Size Chart tab. Find your waist size (ex. 36", which is a Large-L) and then find your inseam (ex. 32") within the L category, which will be Regular-L. In this example, your total size selection would be LR. Hope that helps!

How do these fit compare to the rothco bdu pants of the same size?

Asked by: Jessie
Because fit is personal, we suggest ordering both our pant and Rothco's pant, trying them on, and then keeping whichever you like better.

With the drawstrings let out all the way are the like bootcut? What’s the measurement? I don’t plan on tightening the drawstrings do they will go over my boots?

Asked by: Firedog
I usually tie the ankles outside my boots, so the leg openings are big enough to fit over my boot tops. If you don't want to use the drawstrings, I suppose you could remove them so the dangling ends don't get hung in stuff.

How relaxed is the seat and thigh through these pants? I have 27 inch legs but with a 34 waist. Generally, I buy a size 36 waist relaxed fit Carhartt with stretch to be able to move comfortably.

Asked by: az789
BDUs are very baggy, more baggy than our traditional tactical product. You can assume that a 36” waist in a Carhartt actually measures around 37.5” to 38” by tape measure, so if we start with a short inseam for his length and the appropriate waist, we should be good. However, he should know that this BDU does not have a stretch component to the fabric.

Are these pants NFPA 1977 compliant?

Asked by: LPedersen
They are not. NFPA 1977 is a standard for FR garments used in the wildland firefighting market. However, our F5238 Wildland pant, F5318 Wildland shirt, F5299/F5307 overgarments are NFPA 1977 compliant.

Is the BDU treated for insect repelling?

Asked by: Butch
No. There are some U.S. issue ACU clothes that are Permethrin treated to repel insects, and you can buy the Permethrin spray and apply it yourself. I don't know how permanent it is. But these BDU trousers from Propper are untreated.

Why can't Fabric Softener or dryer sheets be used on 60/40 twill Tactical BDU's ?

Asked by: nhdoclt
In general, dryer sheets (or even liquid fabric softener) are meant to do two things - 1) soften fabric and 2) reduce static cling. The way this works is by coating the garments with a chemical softener on the dryer sheets. This chemical rubbing onto a garment, particularly a synthetic garment that is meant to wick or quick dry will have the porous fabric become clogged over time, causing that effect to be constricted. Also, bacteria from sweat will potentially live on this material because the clothing does not wick and dry as easily, which could cause the garment to have a stronger odor over time and repeated washings. In short, if the fabric is already soft, avoiding fabric softener is generally a good idea because fabric softener simply coats the item in chemicals that inhibit the product's performance. However, it is not going to otherwise ruin the product simply by being present. In this case, the 60/40 twill, while not a performance fabric will have its breathability hampered by fabric softener/dryer sheets in an effort to artificially improve hand by making it slicker/softer.

Your other pants list a fabric weight in ounces, for instance the summerweight tactical pant is listed as 4.2 oz. I was hoping to learn the fabric weight of the "Propper® BDU Trouser Button Fly - Battle Rip® 65/35 Ripstop"

Asked by: BillyBob

Your size chart shows how to measure ourselves but not appropriate information to quantify the waist size your selling. 4XL but usa or who's 4XL? Length is stated as only, "LONG" that's not a comforting read! What is LONG? 32, 42, 69, What? I can't

Asked by: Jake

Are you still making black 100% cotton BDUs? I can't find them anywhere, L/L.
