WP JacketNo excuses. It’s a popular phrase. We see it in motivational posters, hear it from professional athletes, and may even hear it from our boss. It’s all over the place. But it’s still funny that it came to mind when thinking about the Propper Packable Waterproof Jacket – No Excuses.

Many of us work and play outside. With that comes the chance of rain (unless it’s below freezing, but work with me here). Yet, I’m terrible at having a rain jacket on hand unless it was raining when I left the house. I think that I’m not alone.

The Propper Packable Waterproof Jacket to me means that I have no excuse for not having a rain jacket when I need it.

QuotesThe entire jacket stuffs into one of its pockets and zips closed. The jacket is lightweight and packs down small.

Toss one into a backpack, messenger bag, or range bag. You’ll hardly know it’s there until you need it.

WP Packed

The packability is cool but the jacket needs to be solid. This one fits the bill. It’s completely waterproof with taped seams and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. I’ve worn this jacket in some torrential downpours and stayed perfectly dry.

The jacket is windproof. It makes for an excellent windbreaker even without insulation. The jacket works great in warm weather. It is also awesome in cold weather used as a windproof shell when combined with an insulating layer like the Propper fleece jacket or pullover.

Muddy Range

Jacket pockets are important. This one offers two zippered hand pockets, a chest pocket with pull-out ID panel, and four inside pockets.

The Propper Packable Waterproof Jacket is available in sizes ranging from small through 5XL! The idea is that the jacket can be purchased large enough to fit over any uniform you may be wearing.

QuotesPropper also offers a Packable Waterproof Pant making for a matching set of raingear.

Here in the Midwest, a rain shower can pop up just about any afternoon. I’ll be at the range two to three times a week, if all goes as planned. My jacket will spend the spring and summer packed in my range bag. I’ll be ready – no excuses.
