What is the size of the document pockets and how are they held closed? Do they have zippers or velcro?

I had an opportunity to test the Propper Kinetic long sleeve shirt (SKU F5371). This shirt is a good looking, well-fitting and durable shirt. The product has some features that make this a great daily use product. The shirt material is a cotton/poly blend (21/79, 4.5 oz.) that is a rip-stop fabric that stretches and is a good summer weight. The kinetic series of clothing are appropriately an athletic cut and have something they call NEXStretch. The NEXStretch feature stretches in two directions and works with you when you move. The fabric doesn't bind up when you twist or flex, it moves with you, I like it. The DWR or durable water repellant is a feature that is stated to repel water and help resist stains, this feature also works well. I used this shirt while out all day in a light rain on the water and I was pleasantly surprised to stay dry! Unlike some other fabrics I've used, this product allowed the shirt to breath and keep the inside of the material dry. I squirted mustard and soy sauce on the shirt and then let it sit for a half hour, the claimed stain resistance also works. I could rinse the shirt with water and the stains came right off. The construction of this shirt is first rate. There is are mike clip pockets on both shoulders, not just one. These clip pockets are double stitched and robust, they're not going to stretch out. The collars have collar stays to prevent the ends of the collar from curling. The front pockets button down and have a pen slot on both sides, both are double stitched. There are document pockets on both sides also, these are Velcro® closed. The elbows are generously reinforced. There is a button and tab to roll the sleeve up and secure it. The shirt comes in all the regular sizes and includes a tall size. There is an Epaulet kit included to sew on if you choose. There is no badge tab included however you can order one sewn on. I liked this shirt! After repeated wearing this shirt continues to look and feel good.
The Propper International Kinetic Shirt is just above the average for this type of shirt offered by other manufacturers. The design of the shirt is similar to other offering out there, as far as pocket layout and overall design. I did like the fabric would stretch some giving freedom of movement while doing drills on the range and other bending lifting type movements. I normally wear a large shirt, but I am short in stature so the sleeves were long on my arms and I would probably choose a medium in this shirt to fit me better. The Kinetic shirt is durable and did not fade through eight washings, which some of the offerings from other manufacturers can't do. When it comes to application I can definitely see this shirt as a soft uniform for a LE agency and possibly for some specialty units that need something more durable than the traditional polyesters. Overall I like the Propper Kinetic Shirt over some of the other offerings on the market.
This is a really nice blouse. Its very comfortable and is true to size. In Florida during the summer its not super practical, but is lightweight enough that I was not overheating. The versatility of rolling the sleeves up and buttoning them nice too. It washed and dried well, did not stain, and could be packed up in a gear bag without looking sloppy if you had to put it on.
I was sent a short sleeved, size Medium Propper Kinetic shirt to test. Since usually Im between a medium and a large, depending on the manufacturer, I was pleasantly surprised to find this shirt was roomy and not skin-tight. It had plenty of room in the bust, sleeves, and waist (female fit). I could probably have fit a vest underneath if I had to. For people looking to wear it on duty, it does come with an attachable epaulet kit with various button sizes. For those of you living in wetter climes, it is spookily good at repelling water. I held it under a full-running tap for over a minute, and the other side of the fabric did not even get damp. I submerged it in a sink full of water, and when I took it out, the fabric had not absorbed any of the water; beads of water ran off the shirt immediately. It was kind of like a well-waxed car, but the material was not waxy-feeling or stiff at all. Unfortunately, I was not able to wear or utilize this item on duty because my department does not authorize tan. However, I did wear it hiking and camping. The material is sturdy but breathes well, and it seems to be well-constructed-the seams are solid and do not separate when pulled. The button holes were a little small and tight for my liking. The breast pockets are really too small to be or any use for actual storage purposes (smaller than FI cards, for instance), but I like the pen pockets available in the top seam. I like that the material is rip-stop, only because I like the feel and functionality of that material. Overall, great shirt.
