Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first pair of Propper boots I just got my first pair of Propper boots after years of wearing Bates. Wow! I have about 5 miles on them so far and they are fully broken in. I had a slight hot spot on my left heel the first day but that was it. These boots are incredible. Here's some important things... First, the key seams are all triple stitched. I had two pairs of Bates fall apart in the crease where the toes flex. The design was bad and only double stitched. These boots from Propper have really well sewn seams and the triple stitching is bound to hold up better. Second, they are super light and comfortable. The 8" shaft gives you a really secure ankle and it is nicely padded but not nearly as heavy as my Belvilles. Way lighter. They also give you an optional pad to go under the insole if you need to make them more snug. I have a thin, narrow foot and so this was perfect. Now I don't have a big gap in the boot because my foot doesn't‰ЫЬ fill the toe space. Third, the waterproof liner and cowhide outer keep your feet dry. My first 3.5 mile hike was after 3 days of rain in lots of mud and slop....Feet were bone dry. I dried the boots, brushed them off and they look brand new again. All this for only $119 is a great deal. I obviously can't discuss longevity yet but they look bulletproof at this point. I am super happy with the purchase. Two small things...One is that there is a really slight defect in the sole of the right boot where the rope slide is. Looks like it just got squeezed a tiny bit in the gluing. It won't make any difference I hope, but is something to check. Second is that there is a line on the toe of the sole that in some models is stitched to provide extra assurance that the toe doesn't pull free or come unglued. I really think this would be worth Propper doing on this model even if it cost a few dollars more. Too many times I have seen the glue fail at the toe just because of all the natural abuse it takes. I thought these had that feature but maybe I got confused when researching the models. Honestly, I am 100% satisfied with the money spent and would recommend these to anyone that wants an outstanding boot at a great price. I'm hoping they come out with the 300 series which I thought was in production. When these wear out I would definitely spend a little more and keep the Propper line. Sorry, Bates, but you lost me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than a comfortable boot I've been having foot problems for the last 3-4 years and after coming across this boot, I've been more than pain-free for the last six months. To say that I am happy with my purchase is an understatement. THANKS, PROPPER...!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, comfortable boots, but... This is my second pair of Propper boots. I finally had to replace the first after years of abuse and my own stupidity caused the heel and ankle support shank to be crushed and it finally wore through the lining. A good lesson to ALWAYS use that strap when pulling your boots on. (The larger strap is a plus on these) As the title says, these are good, comfortable boots, but there could be improvements. On my other 100 series, the laces where longer, allowing me to wrap them around the top of the boots before tying and ensure they would stay tied. They also seemed to be a different material with some more "bite" to them, also helping them to stay tied. It would also be nice to have the rear support come up higher. They are wearable for me, however, a friend has complained that the rear support sits at a point that is uncomfortable for them. For the final bit, I was disappointed that these boots aren't as waterproof as they claim. The first snow here had snow melt over the toes and I believe it seeped into the seams over time. I understand the difficulty of making a waterproof product that also needs to be flexible and comfortable, but I feel like my old, non-waterproof 100 series did a better job. Overall. Good, comfortable boots that should last many years, but with room for improvement as is common with almost every product. Worth a buy, but if you're buying them expecting to stomp through a lake with impunity, you may want to reconsider your plans and get the standard 100 series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots Excellent boots! Waterproof and everything. You should make sure to take care of the suede though. Sizes run a tad big. Get a size or half down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boots These boots are great. I wear them every day as animal control officer. I get disinfectant on them daily which may have led to them not lasting as long as I hoped, a little over a year. Walking on wet slippery floors was not a.problem. Ordering a new pair now.

My typical size foot is 7. If I wear normal sock with a heavy sock will your boot size 7 work or should I go to a size 7 or 8. I had a DI to recommend me to go a full size up on my Garmont Boot. Many thanks.

Asked by: Mickey
Our boots are true US sizing, designed to be worn with a boot sock, which is a bit thicker than a normal sock. If you add another layer, you might need to go up a half size but probably not a full size. We also suggest wearing them with one of our socks for maximum comfort.

With reviews from two different NTOA members, the Propper® Series 100 8" Boot received their seal of approval garnering an overall score of 4.39 out of a possible 5 with its design, performance and durability praised across the board.

I tested the newly released Propper Series 100 men's boots. This boot is the entry level option for the Propper line of Series 100, 200 and 300 boots. The Series 100 is available in three configurations: black 6" side zip, black 8" side zip and coyote 8". I tested the coyote boot, which is AR670-1 Army Compliant. For beginners, this boot fits extremely well. I have wide feet with a high arch and the inserts really provided excellent balance and arch support for my feet. I wore them at work as well as out hunting and found them to be very comfortable, even when being worn for extended periods of time. The water-resistant suede of the coyote boot wears well and the speed lacing system keeps the boot snug but not uncomfortable. The highlight of this boot is the sole. I found the three part sole to be ultra-durable, and provided excellent traction. It is described as "oil-and-slip-resistant" and I found that to be accurate. While running and jumping in the boot, I thought the foam inserts combined with the rubber outsole really provided good impact absorption. The center of the sole is designed to be "fast-rope compatible". While I did not have the chance to do any fast-roping, I have no doubt that these boots would hold up under those types of conditions. In summary, I found this footwear to be a first-rate entry level boot and recommend it based on comfort and durability.

The Propper Series 100 boot is an 8" military boot built with an anti-microbial, breathable lining and a padded upper. The boot is lightweight, durable and after breaking in, was quite comfortable. The boots arrived with padded insoles that made them very comfortable. The lacing system was quite adequate and allows for quick lacing. The sole is rugged and I found the boots to be quite stable and non-slip. The toe was a little more rounded than I like but I got used to it. These boots are built tough but only a long term test will allow for a complete review as to durability.
