Make ripstop BDU trousers trusted by the military a part of your uniform — without breaking the bank. Propper’s Uniform BDU Trouser features a zipper fly, adjustable waist tabs and fused pocket flaps for a clean, professional look. Military functionality and durability comes in the form of fade-, shrink- and wrinkle-resistant fabric complete with six pockets, felled seams and a reinforced seat and knee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice BDUs, but need button fly I have worn these 60/40 coyote colored BDU pants for a few months now. I hope Propper reads this. I think these pants are good BDU pants, but these could be made better with the addition of adding a button fly for both the Uniform line of 60/40 and 65/35 BDUs. I wished they made the coyote colored BDU pants in the 65/35 button fly BDU version and the 60/40 BDUs in button fly also. I have a khaki colored 65/35 button fly BDU paints that seem more comfortable in the groin area. Zippers are not the way to go. Your zipper goes out and it is harder to replace. You just sew on a new button if you have BDU button fly pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Polyester/Cotton Blend Tactile pants I bought a 32 waist. If it was not for the adjustable waist, it would have been too big for me. I usually wear a size 12 in women. (I do not like the low rise that is in style for women:hence, the reason for buying men. The crotch of the pants hang low. My husband also did not like the way the crotch fit. (We wear about the same size.) I like the huge pockets, but not the button enclosure for the pockets and waist. I liked the metal zipper. The tie cuff kept the pants leg out of the mud. They had too much cotton for the torrential rain that I was caught in so they stayed wet longer. My holster belt fit the loops well. The pants were not attractive, but seemed sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Propper BDU pants. As of the time of writing this; I've owned my trousers for almost a year now. The specific model I purchased were the 60/40 Poly Cotton twill, size large, olive drab green. I will go over notable facets of the pants, discuss pros, cons and opinions; then I will finish this review with my closing statement. Material - the 60/40 poly cotton twill is a heavier weight material. These, in my experiences, have proven to be durable and quite resistant to moderate amounts of wear and tear (yard work, travelling through briars, mud and dirt, etc) Quality - The stitching and button attachments have proven to be some of the most solid which I have seen in military spec and surplus clothing; proving to be better than a few sets of issued clothing (here's looking at you, Greece.) Beyond the stitching; there are some quality control issues with the placement of items on the pants; namely the pockets. One of the cargo pockets, location on the thighs, is slightly out of spec. The bottom of it being non-parallel to the knee reinforcement. Would anyone notice this at first glance? No. Would this affect performance? Nah. Would this drive me nuts? Sometimes. My advice? If you want a pair of $25 pants that have perfect quality and are perfectly symmetrical; maybe you want to go to a wedding in BDUs, or, something, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Size/cut - These are made and sized to the standard U.S. specification for Battle Dress Uniforms; baggy and comfortable with plenty of storage space. These are combat uniforms; they're made for comfort, practicality and flexibility of movement. Will they work for professional attire? I wouldn't want to match them to a blazer. Will they suffice as work clothes? Yup. The large cargo pockets allow for relatively secure storage of items on your person... Just don't store any marbles in there, won't end well. If you wear a large; these will feel like an extra large in the U.S, or, an extra large for international buyers. In summary: these are a good pair of affordable pants. They will work quite well for environments where you want to use clothing for hard work without worrying about the absolute annihilation of a pair of $150 designer pants. Biggest benefit of these trousers are the storage space and comfort. Biggest cons are the quality control of the pocket placement. P.S. don't hide cookies in the pockets and leave them somewhere. Cats are envious. P.S.S Applogies to any Greeks out there about the above comment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants! Lightweight Poly cotton pants are good for the warm/hot months. Slip on some warm underwear underneath to keep warm in the winter. It's relatively durable and can handle some tough work (i.e. construction & landscaping). The front button is terribly sewn as it seems to tear easily. Will need to sew together soon! There are NO Drain holes in bellowed pockets and drawstring leg closures need to be replaced by cuffed leg bottoms. The pants are somewhat baggy in the legs but true to size. Can be worn casually. The adjustable waist bands on both left/right sides make the fit better though you still need to wear a belt. The Propper basic nylon belt works well though the buckle is somewhat curved instead of flat so it seems like the buckle is bulging out. A separate pocket is needed for smartphones. The front hand pockets are deep enough for most smartphones but not the overly larger ones. Washes well in warm water and doesn't appear to shrink though it does wrinkle a little so some ironing is needed. Hopefully the color will last and the pants will last a few years. Overall, a no-frills BDU pants at a more reasonable price.

Is this made with a Teflon finish?

Asked by: Stevedores
No, this item does not have a Teflon finish. If you need Teflon or another durable water repellant (DWR), we recommend the Kinetic or RevTac pants. Hope this helps.

Is this model unisex?

Asked by: carlos
Not sure how to answer this. I've always thought of BDU trousers as being good for anyone who wants to wear them. Technically, I think they are men's trousers by design, but they have waist adjustment tabs. Women ought to be able to wear them, as long as you get a size that fits in the hips and just adjust the waist tighter. My advice would be to find someone who sells them locally and try them on for size. If they suit you, buy them. (And remember your size if you want to order them cheaper online next time. )

how do you know the waist size???

Asked by: ajax33
Experience. Actually, Propper has a size chart for their BDUs and you can use a cloth tape measure to check your waist, if you don't know what it is. Their BDU trousers are meant to be worn at your natural waistline, just below the navel, and not low on the hips. When you know what your own waistline measures, you can refer to Propper's size chart online to see which size range you fit into. Mine is medium, 31 - 35 inches. BDU pants have adjustment tabs to take up the slack if your waist is somewhere in between. I hope that helps.
