Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert Kinghorn from Perfect pants for roofing. Pros: I work as a roofer, in Atlanta where in the summertime it's hotter than the devil's attic. These are very light, yet durable, with lots of pockets. I'm 6'7", 220 lbs and the 36X36 fit me perfectly. Cons: They aren't stain resistant and you need to take them out of the dryer quickly or they wrinkle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eric from Great Pants Great pants...but be sure to order a size up. I normally wear a 34 waist, but I had to go with a 36. Other than that...these are my new favorite pants. These pants will also work great as a hiking pant...since they are nylon/spandex with plenty of pockets. They also have a decent amount of stretch. I would love to see some more color choices added...maybe a medium brown color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John DePlacio from John I was in a uniform store in upstate Harriman NY and found these pants. The girl working there showed them to me and I am glad she did. The pants are very lightweight have a LOT of great pockets. I like the fit of these because they are not as baggy giving a sloppy look like some other tactical pants I own. I have worn them in situations where we got wet and they dried instantly. I stay pretty comfortable because of the fabric. The conceal carry pocket in the back has come in handy. My whole unit now owns these. And I ordered them in every color from her for myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by con2propper from Very light but small The lightest pant for the hottest and sweatest conditions. Even when it is 45°C in bright sun you can wear this pant. And a durable pant too, so it doesn't feel apart after six months like the *.** Traverse pant. Btw, sun protection from 50 UPF. Have your health in mind. Contra: The pockets are very big and very light, so I wear all gear in a pouch on my belt. And the pant is small. Regular I wear the Kinetic pant in 32x32, but the Summerweight I need in 34x34, because the waist is tight and the length are small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Steve from Runs small Great pants, nice and lightweight with tons of pockets. The issue is they run small both in length and waist. be sure to size up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tom from almost perfect these pants feel great and are very light. The stretch gives you a full range of motion and you can literally feel the breeze coming through the fabric. The cut is ridiculous. I am 6'1" 193lbs and ordered 36x34 size pants. They are so snug around my rear and thighs I look funny in the pants. I am a police officer and carry a lot in my pockets. You can identify everything in them from the print against my leg. The waist fits perfectly, and so does the inseam and calf but the thighs do not. These are slim fitting straight leg cowboy cut wrangler type pants. And just for good measure I wear a 34 in the waist but do carry an inside the waistband holster often so I order 1 size up to account for a full size glock.

Interested in purchasing your Summerweignt Tactical pants. However, where are they made/manufactured?
We have them made in China.

Why can I not get a 37 lenth in a 36 or a 38 waiste?
We follow standard sizing practices of 2" inseam increments for most waist sizes. For your need, we recommend trying a 36" inseam.

Will Sheriff Brown be added to the color options?
At this time, we have no plans to add Sheriff Brown to the Summerweight Pant, but how big is your department? We can run a custom color with a big enough order.

Will these pants be made in sheriff Brown?
At this time, there are no plans to add Sheriff Brown to the Summerpant Pant color line, but we are always listening to our customers, so if enough officers and departments want that color, we would certainly consider adding it. In the meantime, we recommend out Kinetic pant, which does come in Sheriff Brown.

With reviews from four different NTOA members, the Propper Summerweight Tactical Pants received their seal of approval garnering an overall score of 3.76 out of a possible 5 with its design, performance, and durability praised across the board.
I really put these pants from Propper to the test. I wore them in place of my khaki pants at events and they were very comfortable. I wore the pants while working on my property in the woods and there were no issues. They dry very quickly when compared to traditional tactical style pants. It seems to me that the sizing of the pants is just a touch small, but still very comfortable. I plan on wearing them until they fall apart! One negative is the pants are very prone to wrinkling. Keeping in mind these pants are summer weight... I am looking forward to trying them in the winter just to see how cold I get. All in all, a very good product and I strongly recommend them to anyone.
These are very nice summer weight tactical pants. The cut, size, and material are all quite impressive. I gave the comfort rating of 4.1 only because there wasn't much give in the material, but they were still extremely comfortable. I used these pants on the range and for hiking. The material breathes very well and sheds liquids nicely. Wearing these pants during hot and humid weather, they felt very comfortable, the material didn't stick to the skin or block the breeze. The construction appears to be very durable. They have held up to a variety of physical tasks without any noticeable damage, fraying or separating of seams. This is a great pair of pants from Propper.
The label on the pants I received stated they were for a 34-inch waist, 32-inch inseam. That size normally fits me just fine in most brands. As soon as I put these on, my kid made a crack about skinny jeans. The thigh area was ridiculously tight. In the interest of a getting a complete review, I passed them on to a thinner teammate with the same waist size. He had the same problem and commented that they would never fit someone with normal quadriceps. We then tried a third candidate with an even smaller frame. Same result. They just weren't wearable. They look like nice material with some good features, but if they can't be worn, it’s moot.
The Summerweight Tactical Pant by Propper is a 94% nylon, 6% spandex pant that is extremely lightweight and flexible. There are just enough pockets to be useful, without being cluttered and the zippers and buttons are well-made and reliable. As the name implies, these pants are made for hot weather. The material feels similar to a pair of board shorts. Long term and hard use durability may suffer but comfort is top notch. The sizing seems to run a little bit tight and the material wrinkles easily, but for their intended purpose, these pants are well-made and comfortable. These pants would probably be best for detectives, foot patrols, community resources or casual wear.
