Propper products undergo rigorous testing throughout the development cycle and after the product is complete. We solicit expert feedback throughout the process to ensure we are responsive to users’ needs and ultimately create a finished product that performs to the high standards Propper is known for. One step in this ongoing process is working with the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) to perform thorough wear tests and collect feedback from the field. The development cycle doesn’t finish when a product is released. We continue to deliberately evaluate and listen to our users to improve our products.
Our release of the U.C. Pack and accompanying pouches and accessories built upon our successful line of bags and packs. It offers the user a chance to tailor their pack to accomplish a specific task. It’s all about flexibility and versatility.

After weeks with me on daily patrol, the bag has shown little to no wear. The generous main compartment has a wide mouth opening, allowing easy access to all of your gear. 360 degree Molle webbing on the exterior allows users to conveniently customize the pack with any Molle pouches or gear they want. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of this pack.

The exterior Molle attachments definitely make this user configurable. I have numerous pistol, rifle and general purpose pouches available from previous gear that allows me a multitude of options in setting up this pack. The included window pouch with Velcro back for interior mounting seems like it would lend itself to holding medical gear allowing for quick recognition. The tool pouch (Molle mount) is able to hold either a multi-tool, one double stack mag comfortably or two double stack mags snuggly.
The last reviewer put the pack through many strength tests to test the limits of the pack and was ultimately happy with the results.
I loaded it with a 100 lbs. of gear. Mostly dive weights, sharpened pieces of PVC pipe and a towel. I did this to test the weight capacity, puncture ability and to find out if water got inside the bag. Then I ran the bag through several testing scenarios and environments. I let the bag roll around in the back of my duty vehicle for a week. It survived my driving habits and the heat very well. Every time I took it out of the back, I threw it forcefully on the ground. I set it on top of my light bar and drove off, causing it to roll down the back. At the range I used it as a rifle rest for my sniper rifle. Besides getting dirty, the pack held up very well. No holes were found and the stitching remained intact. I put bag on the bow of our dive boat and took it for a ride. The rectangular shape of the bag helped to keep it in place during a vigorous boat ride. After a tour on the boat, the bag was substantially wet on the outside. The towel inside was dry. I tied the pack off to a line and threw it in the lake at a depth of 30 feet. I waited 10 minutes before lifting the bag out of the water. Of course the towel inside was wet. The stitching still held up. I climbed a mountain peak wearing the pack. The weight was distributed evenly and the padding created a nice air flow between the pack and my back. The multitude of straps secured the bag nicely. When I reached the peak, I rolled the pack down a 300 feet rock slide. The pack rolled down fast with the 100 lbs. of weights inside. When it reached the bottom, it was extremely dirty and showed signs of wear. One pouch was torn from the Molle, but the rest of the stitching was intact. I thought surely my PVC spikes would puncture the pack, but I was wrong. Bottom line: it’s an excellent pack for many uses, especially with an MSRP of $110.
