Can civilians wear Army Uniforms?

In the United States, it is perfectly legal for civilians to wear military uniforms. However, it is illegal to impersonate a member of the military for personal gains. The Stolen Valor Act of 2013, specifically amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for someone to claim they have served in the military with the intention of obtaining money, property, or other tangible benefits.

How to care for Army Combat Uniforms

Wash all uniforms in cold water to prevent color fade.

Tumble drying on low is suggested to prevent premature aging. Should you choose to line-dry your uniforms, do not hang directly in the sun for prolonged periods of time in order to prevent UV damage.

Do not iron Army uniforms. The high temperatures necessary to press clothing stand a very high likelihood of melting the systematic materials used throughout the uniform.

Never use bleach or brightening agents on Army uniforms. Harsh chemicals such as these can compromise the strength of the materials, induce color fading, and can compromise the permethrin that may be built into the fabric.
