Size runs very small

"Appears to be a good quality boot/shoe. But the size runs VERY SMALL. I am a size 9 Wide. I've had my feet professionally measured to be sure of this. I have ordered other shoes from other companies and have never had a fit issue. I ordered a Men's 9 wide of these and I can barely get my feet in them. They are way too tight. They feel more like a 9 medium."

Do the shoes have metal shank? Work in Corrections and have to pass through metal detector several times a day and don't want to take off she's to go through metal detector

Can you use these for walking on a treadmill?
