"Got this based on reading previous reviews and comments about sizing; I have a 34 inch waist, so I ordered a Large 36-38 to make sure it fit decently. This belt could fit Orson Welles. Or at least Jerry Nadler. No lie, I put it on and pulled the tail thru to a comfortable length, and the tip wound up nearly at my 8 o'clock position. I'm a lefty so that's where my EDC rides and it doubled the thickness of the belt. The overall length of the belt from buckle ratchet to tip is over 51 inches. I had to cut off three inches just to get it to at least my 9 o'clock. Even shorter would have sufficed and I may yet cut it down some more. A reasonable tail length past the buckle for me would be maybe six inches. I plan on getting two more, one in coyote and one in black, but I'll be sure to get 32-34 Mediums to avoid having to cut the belt and then melt the end so it doesn't fray."
