Once top-of-the-line military outwear has become an icon in the Propper® M65 Field Coat. Classic features such as shoulder epaulets, packable hood, and built-in liner all reinforce the functional styling. The removable quilted liner provides an extra layer of warmth when needed. Perfectly suited as a field coat in the elements or around town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great version of the classic coat! I have two of these coats now one made by another company (no longer in business) and this one by Propper. This one is by far the better of the two and has the classic M*A*S*H* look (plain olive drab) to boot. The material is listed as a 50/50 blend but it feels more like cotton (a good thing). Sizing (fit) is spot on but unless you are really tall (as in 6’4”+) stick with the regular length (I’m 6’1” and the tall is a bit long, but not unmanageable as I just roll the arm cuffs up).Coat is quite a bargain as it comes with the liner. With the liner in I didn’t mind wearing it outside during the recent unexpected winter blast, it was comfortably warm and would have been so even 15 degrees colder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Good Replica I have 2 original 1980's US Army BDU M-65s in Large Long that I wear at the ranch. I bought this one in black to wear in public. I purchased the XL L (I'm 6'5") because it is has the extra liner included which increases the overall bulk and fit of the jacket. It is the same sizing as the original (runs larger as the military intended). The outside material is a little different (lower quality) and the internal lining is not rip stop as the original. Plastic zipper instead of original brass, but of good quality. It lacks the button slots on the collar, but are unnecessary unless you have an original military winter hood. For the pricing compared to others, this was a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from M65 field coat The M65 field coat is very nice with the liner, the only thing I would recommend is checking the size

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The genuine article Uncle Sam issued me a XL Regular back in 1990 but I always wanted a bit more sleeve so I ordered the XL Long. I'm 6'5" and weigh 320 lbs. I've got a 18" neck, 35" sleeve, 44 waist and 52" chest. This jacket fits perfectly, just like my trusty old issued field jacket with the sleeve length I always wanted. I normally wear at least a 2XLT usually 3XLT for comparison. When they suggest ordering a size down have no fear they're right on. I couldn't be more pleased and Propper is making the real deal. Hoo-rah!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Jacket This jacket is worth every penny. Outstanding quality at a reasonable price. I live in South Africa, my uncle brought it for me, this jacket is plenty warm even for the Bushveld during winter. Have been wearing the jacket for 4 days now and so far so good. Not even strong winds get through this jacket, we have our winter over May to August. I own SADF M65 jacket, a variety of Parkas and nothing comes close to this jacket Fits according to the size chart of Propper. I just took measurement and the jacket fits like a glove. Will definitively be buying the Olive green in the near future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missing size This Is an excellent made jacket. Only problem for me is I need a medium short. There is only regular so it's a little big in me. The small fits good but way too tight in stomach and chest. My issue jacket was medium shirt. Wish you made them

Is this jacket m65 with liner warm enough for sitting in a deer stand in 35 degree weather.

Asked by: Deadeyejoe
The M65 is a very warm jacket, but since individual warmth is highly subjective, so we recommend taking layers with you just in case you get chilly.

I purchased an M 65 in large and it is huge on me.  I’m 5’7” and about 175.  Would a medium be better, particularly in the length?  This was way too long.

Asked by: Michael818
Yes, we recommend ordering one size smaller.

What type of low temps can the M65 take? I live in a winter state and temps routinely fall to -30 in the winter.

Asked by: MNexplorer
The M65 is designed for cold weather, but it sounds like your situation might call for something like the 3-in-1 Parka and a Fleece Watch Cap. Brrrr!

I'm 73. 2". Regular or long? Regards Erik

Asked by: Swede
This is really a matter of personal preference, but the regular will be long enough at your height to cover below the waist.
