Does it meet NFPA 1977 regs, or just 1975. Trying to determine if it can be used for wildland or not. I know wildland has separate regs.
This coat meets NFPA 1975 (station wear), not NFPA 1977.
What is the difference between these and the hot weather ones?
The ACU Coat (100% Cotton NFPA) is flame-resistant and designed for environments where fire protection is needed, but it’s heavier and slower to dry. The OCP Hot Weather Coat (IHWCU), while similar to the ACU, is lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, and better suited for hot, humid conditions— it is NIR compliant, but not NFPA.
