Rated 5 out of 5 by Tom F from Nice Mid Size Bag I was given one of these as a gift. I already have a really nice large bag from a competitor and the free NRA bag so I have a couple of bags to compare to. First the size is perfect. Unlike my large bag, it’s not too big. So this is now my bag for grabbing and going to the range when I don’t want to bring every single thing I might need with me. Unlike the NRA bag, this one is well made. It’s laid out well and the features are useful. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have dedicated places for things like my large bag. Being able to put things where I want in this one is a blessing and a curse. I agree with the other review that the shoulder strap is adequate. It’s one area Propper can improve but it’s not a big deal as most people aren’t carrying their range bag all over the place all day and the once provide is ok for a typical range day. As mine was a gift the value is great. But even at full price this is a well made bag and one everyone should have as either a first bag, or as your primary bag to use to take only what you’re going to use that day. Experienced shooters will also get a bigger bag, but will find this bag to be the right size and the one they use the most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dana o. from Great modular design This bag is the perfect size for a day at the range. I added a reversible pouch on the front and a binocular pouch on one end to increase the capacity. MOLLE straps hold them both secure. Just purchased 2 pistol sleeves to attach inside, as well as a 3 mag kangaroo pouch for M4 mags - this will also attach inside with hook and loop fasteners. I can bring just about everything I need with me in this bag for any of the shooting I do. So glad I got this over the competitions bags at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan from This bag is amazing! As a training officer I move from car to car as I work with different rookies. This bag allows me to keep all my necessary gear together and organized. I have extra mags, gloves, a lifeloc, trauma gear and extra tickets and forms. It definitely enables me to be a better trainer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Frank from Great bag poor construction I received this bag as a gift. The compartments are well thought out. The size worked very well for me, although I thought it should be a little bigger to fit standard copy paper targets. I had this bag maybe 10 months when one of the side pouch zippers broke, it would not secure the two sets of teeth together. I was securing that pouch with the second slider when it came completely off a month later. I contacted customer support and they said since I could not prove where the bag was bought they would not replace or repair it. A massive company would not replace a MSRP $60.00 bag which probably cost them $20.00 to manufacture. Very poor policy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Markus from Poor material quality After half a year of moderate use, the webbing for the D ring for the shoulder strap ripped off. Not good. Now i have to find a way to fix this somehow because i dont think Propper will take any responsibility.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Charlie from Great ideas, poor construction I found this bag after looking for a range bag for months (I have been known to be very particular about my bags). I read tons of reviews across the internet and decided to purchase the bag because of some truly unique features. The high visibility interior is a great choice on this bag and one that I feel should be more common place. The zipper pulls are great, the more critical and commonly used pockets have sturdy and easy to grab rubber pulls. The zippers are not as big and bulky as some bags but I do not see any issue with them and they function properly. The shoulder strap looks and feels sturdy with a decent, but not great, shoulder pad. The cleaning/protective mat is a great inclusion on the bag that I found myself using all the time. The pocket layout and organization is pretty great and very customizable. The bag is a good size for few pistols, if you keep them in individual zippered pouches you can fit about three, possibly four, pistol rugs. You could also use velcro holsters around the inside and be more creative and fit double that. I have fit three full size pistol rugs, eyes and ears for two shooters, 7 magazines, a few boxes of 9mm and miscellaneous cleaning supplies and tools with no problem. The molle webbing also allows for some expandability that I have used for an IFAK. I have been very impressed with the material and how it feels and holds up to use. THE BAD: I was recently on my way to the range with two pistols, a couple hundred rounds of 9mm, and eyes and ears for one with an IFAK on the side of the bag. Honestly a light load for me. I was at the top of several flights of stairs with rifle bags in both hands when this webbing for the D ring for the shoulder strap ripped off and sent the bag tumbling down three flights of stairs before I could catch it. Obviously not a great day. I find this to be a critical component of the bag that was very disappointingly constructed and clearly not reliable. It appears the webbing is held with only a single row of stitching (although it might be double or triple stitched in this row) in the piping. The webbing does not run through and under the bag like some. The webbing is secured with the box type stitch that I am accustomed to seeing on heavy-duty components and would expect in this application. Overall, I love the bag. Don't think I will buy Propper again. Everything about this bag is great except for one critical, hidden, flaw that did a lot of damage for me. This is not the type of construction I am willing to rely on. If you will always be using the grab handles on this bag, or NEVER put ammunition in your bag this may be the bag for you. I didn't even get a chance to use this bag more than a dozen times. It really is a shame as there is true innovation in the product.

"This is a great bag and the storage design was top notch. I used it for the range and as a tool/equipment bag in my truck to see how it stood up. At the range, I had more room and compartments than my current bag and it made organizing much easier in dividing up my equipment and the three pistols I use. There is not one inch of wasted space with this bag. I left it in the back of my truck for several trips and even in the rain. It was virtually dry inside and easy to dry off what was slightly damp. The double zipper pulls make it easier to work and gain access to the interior compartments. The zippers were very stiff at first and I had to use two hands to hold the bag and unzip one pull at a time. With more use though, I could grab each zipper pull and open it without any tension on the bag. I rate this bag very highly in its design, use and function." The Propper Range Bag is a very well-constructed bag. It will hold plenty of ammunition, magazines, spare parts, cleaning supplies and any other small items you might need for a day at the range. The bag comes with a built in mat to place your weapons on, removable dividers for the interior storage area and plenty of pockets and Molle webbing to attach extra pouches, med kits, etc. There is padding built into the walls of the bag that serve as protection for firearms and help the bag keep its shape. I took this bag to the range several times and was not gentle with it. All of the items I put in it stayed intact and the bag held up well. There was no obvious damage to the bag, particularly to the bottom of the bag where it was placed on rocks, dirt and cement. This bag held up very well and did what it was designed to do.
"Propper is turning out some good stuff these days. This Range Bag is another good example of that. Whether you are a weekend shooter, a competitor, or you need something for duty gear; I would have no problem reaching for this bag to do the job. I’m happy to keep it loaded down with my essential range gear and just grab and go when I get the chance to go!" Read the rest of Spotter Up's review here: https://spotterup.com/propper-range-bag/
