"I'm a new Propper customer, having always been a Rothco guy, for their military-style pouches, bags, and apparel. I've bought a couple items from Propper recently, including this belt and a BDU ripstop shirt. I'm a Propper convert now! Propper's sturdy quality is a cut above the rest, particularly for the price. The nylon strap of this belt is substantial and the buckle is awesome. The mechanism feels legit; the functionality and overall feel is notably substantial without being overly bulky. Admittedly, this belt was SO affordable, I didn't know what to expect. I can't believe how affordable it is too, when compared to other tactical and duty belts. You can't go wrong with this belt!"

So how do put gear on the belt and then adjust the length- do you have to undo the belt from the buckle every time you put it on?
No, you do not have to fully undo the belt from the buckle each time. Once your gear is set and the belt is adjusted to your preferred length, you can use the quick release buckle to take it on and off easily.
What is the complete end-to-end length from the stitched female side buckle to the loose opposite end with no buckle attached? I'm trying to figure out if there is still room for closure with my 38 1/8th inch waist without having to go to XL and have a ton of slack. I've already lost 15 lbs and going but I have to be in formation with my pants up whether i lose anymore weight or not. Many thanks!
A size Large belt is 44" end to end, giving you about 6" of adjustment for a 38" waist.

Is this as stiff as the 1.5 inch Rapid Release belts? I'm wanting to go with a larger belt but the drastically lower price of this one has me second guessing it.
This quick release is not as rigid as the original quick release we sell. It is not a double layered nylon belt, but the nylon is sturdier than our other nylon belts.
What is the buckle made of?
The buckle is made of zinc alloy where the buckle is black, stainless steel in the latch/release mechanism.
